Mallorca Travel: 7-Day Family Itinerary & Madrid Mist Design

A Mediterranean Adventure Awaits!
Picture this: Our extended family of 11, one sun-soaked week in Mallorca, and endless moments of joy that inspired my new Madrid Mist Spanish tile design! From Palma’s vibrant streets to Port de Sóller’s turquoise shores, our group trip was a whirlwind of laughter, adventure, and Mediterranean magic—here’s our 7-day itinerary to inspire your next getaway.

Day 1: Chocolate Croissants and Port de Sóller Perfection
Oh, Mallorca, you stole our hearts on day one! Our gang of 11 kicked off the trip at Fika, Farina Coffee and Bakery in Palma, munching on the flakiest, most divine chocolate croissants. Bellies full, we wandered Palma’s charming streets, soaking in the vibes before hopping the train to Sóller and the tram to Port de Sóller. When we arrived, our jaws dropped—picture-perfect blue skies, turquoise waters, and boats bobbing like they were posing for a postcard. We strutted along the boardwalk, laughing and snapping pics, then plopped down for a lively lunch at Marina Tramontana. Port de Soller is a must visit. Back to Palma we went, already buzzing about what was next!

Day 2: Gothic Spires and Seaside Paella
Day two was all about grandeur! We toured the jaw-dropping Cathedral de Mallorca in Palma, and let me tell you, those gothic spires were straight out of a fairy tale. Pro tip: we snagged terrace rooftop tickets, and the views were chef’s kiss! After soaking in all that history, we treated ourselves to a seaside paella feast at Palma Port. The salty breeze, the clinking glasses—pure vacation magic.

Day 3: Sailing, Swimming, and Sunset Bliss
Hold onto your sunhats—day three was an absolute blast! We set sail on at 17M Gullet Yacht booked with Palma Boats for a day of pure adventure. Cliff jumping? Check. Splashing around with pool noodles? Oh, yeah. Sailing along Palma’s coast with salt on our skin and wind whipping through our hair? Unforgettable. As the sun dipped behind the cliffs, we were all grinning like kids, totally blissed out.

Day 4: Golf, Hikes, and Cala Pi
Day four had something for everyone! Four of us hit the greens at Marriott Son Antem for a golf day, while the rest tackled a hike to Cala Pi—a small cove with crystal-clear waters and a beach that screams “paradise.” We reunited at La Finca for a steak dinner extravaganza, toasting to Sam’s upcoming sixtieth. The laughter, the wine, the entertaining waiters—it was a great night!

Day 5: Calo des Moro’s Crystal Waters
Lace up those hiking boots, because day five took us to Calo des Moro! The trek was no joke, but oh, was it worth it. The water was so clear you could count the pebbles on the ocean floor, and those seaside cliffs? Straight-up spectacular. We spent the day swimming, sunning, and soaking in every second of that turquoise dreamscape. Before you leave, take the path around the corner to the cliffs of Santanyí.

Day 6: Valldemossa Vibes and a Birthday Toast
Valldemossa, you time-traveling beauty! Day six was a day trip to this gem of a town—cobblestone streets, green shutters, and shops that had us all swooning. It felt like we stepped into a storybook. Be sure to visit the Carthusian Monastery with its historic architecture and tranquil ambiance. Its lush gardens, bursting with vibrant flora, offer a peaceful retreat steeped in Mallorca’s rich cultural heritage.

We capped the trip with a final feast at Bella Italia in Llucmajor, raising our glasses to Leland’s birthday and our epic group adventure.

Day 7: Travel Chaos, But Worth It
Saturday was a whirlwind—planes, trains and automobiles and a bit of travel drama, but our crew powered through, and everyone made it home (with luggage, eventually!). Mallorca, you gave us a week of sun-soaked memories we’ll cherish forever.
