Step in the studio and take a peek into my process. Today I’m painting loose and watery blue wildflowers. My goal is more about how the colors and brushstrokes make me feel more than the flowers themselves. I start with an idea of where I want the flowers to be placed, and then start with a light color palette. It’s all about layers and being patient. I put down the first layer and wait for it to dry before applying the next later. This process can take all day depending on how dark and detailed I want the final painting to get.
