8 Style Tips To Steal From These Newlyweds

Meet Sarah and Chad Zalesiak and welcome to their chic newlywed home with standout irresistible style. Not only is their home super inviting, but these two are so much fun! I could have stayed there all day long and into the night just chatting about their gorgeous wedding last September and what they have been doing since then. They both are very handy, and you’ll want to steal these DIY ideas for yourself.

1 Statement Mirrors:

The insanely gorgeous living room has the Wow factor in so many ways. From the carefully planned color palette and gorgeous original art by Sarah’s mother, Chris Shands to the statement sunburst mirror in gold. Everything together screams the word dreamy.

2 When in doubt, don’t throw it out:

As I said, they are newlyweds and college days were not so long ago for them. They scored this awesome coffee table which was discarded out on the street from a UVa dorm.

3 Tech Less Living Rooms

I love the home trend of less tech in the living rooms. We need more opportunities for good conversation and less gadgets everywhere.

5 Statement Lighting

I’m absolutely in love with the oversized gold lantern and gilded sconces on the wall in the breakfast area. I would be so happy drinking my morning coffee here. The table is IKEA and the chairs belonged to Sarah’s grandfather. They sanded and repainted them, perfection! The rug is IKEA as well.

6 DIY Kitchen Ideas

Sarah and Chad’s kitchen is light and airy. They found this cool light above the kitchen sink at HomeGoods and wired it to hang as a chandelier. The chalkboard painted door is still on trend and I love Sarah’s handwriting skills!

7 Chic Bar Cart Styling

Can we talk about how cool Sarah’s bar cart styling is? The “bad habit” art print, the lucite bar cart, the mercury lamp, the exotic python tray {Ballard Designs} . I love it all.

8 Show Your Personality

Everyone needs their own personal space. Chad’s space is the outdoor work shed with all of his handy tools, fishing and hunting gear, etc. We’ll save that tour for another day. Sarah’s personal space is this “to die for” dressing room. By the window with the natural light is her work table with jewelry making tools and gorgeous stones. The paint color in this room and throughout the house is Athena Gray by Benjamin Moore.

How sweet is this? For a wedding gift, Sarah and Chad received this trinket tray with their wedding invitation on it.

Thank you Sarah and Chad for opening up your lovely home! I’m so happy for the both of you. Maybe we will return for an outside tour when Chad’s man cave /outdoor shed is finished!
