Welcome to Jane Ranson’s Christmas home tour. Jane and her husband Bill have graciously invited us into their stunning home this holiday. Filled with sentimental family heirlooms and festive holiday displays, each room is a feast for the eyes. You may remember last year we featured the home of Molly Gorman, Jane’s daughter. Now I see where Molly gets her good taste from! As I arrived, I noticed her gorgeous front porch decorating complete with a wooden sled. She later told me that was her mother’s sled when she was a little girl. I just love things like this! So let’s take the tour, shall we?

Jane Ranson’s Christmas Home Tour
Immediately upon entering their home, I was taken by the most elegant Christmas table display in the dining room. From Santa and his sleigh to the clock plates with Christmas crackers, this awe-inspiring table is decked with dazzling details.

I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this amazing sunburst mirror and holiday table display leading me into the family room and kitchen area. The pair of lamps {Shades of Light} are outstanding!

The sunny sunroom is where I would be spending all of my time. It’s simply delightful and extremely cozy too! I am obsessed with Jane’s beautifully crafted holiday vignettes on both side tables. Quick tip: To create a winter wonderland indoors, hang white snowflake ornaments from the ceiling fan.

Jane is quite the artist. She painted this abstract which goes perfectly in the room, especially with the painted blue ceiling. Another DIY quick tip: Do you see the navy blue thin line at the top of the molding? Jane attached a ribbon to give the room an added pop of color and definition between the walls and ceiling. She is so clever.

My absolute favorite part of the tour is the staircase in the family room. Jane knits a personalized stocking for each child and grandchild as they come into her family. It’s quite impressive and the sweetest line up you’ve ever seen. Is there anything she cannot do?

The family room is the perfect gathering place for family and friends. With plenty of comfortable seating and coordinating throw pillows, Jane and Bill have created a welcoming atmosphere.

Their master bedroom is a soothing sanctuary filled with more family keepsakes. This glass jar is filled with detailing from Jane’s grandmother’s wedding dress. What a wonderful memory to preserve.

Thank you Jan and Bill for inviting us into your home. It’s one of the highlights of the season for me, and I’m sure all BB&B readers think the same. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Absolutely beautiful!
So beautiful and inviting!!
While very pretty, I was kind of disappointed. I thought there would be a more definitive green and white interpretation of Christmas.
What a lovely home, dressed beautifully for the holidays. I love the table settings in the dining room. I have that china also, Royal Hunt pattern, but never would have thought to put something like the clock plates with it. Very interesting!
