Spruce Up Your Porch for Summer
I like to think of this as a two step process. First, the deep cleaning, and then the fun decorating. We have been in our home for 15 years now, and it was time to give our porch a few updates. We gave our space a makeover with a fresh coat of white paint. There were a couple of tears in the screens, so we had them replaced and we painted a weather resistant protective stain on the exposed wood. With these updates, our porch felt new again.

Below our screened in porch is a brick patio. We power washed the bricks to get rid of the dirt and grime. I was amazed at the difference from before and after. We wiped down the dusty and dirty outdoor furniture with Mr Clean Outdoor Pro magic eraser and other outdoor cleaning P&G products from Lowe’s. Then we washed the floor clean.
After the deep cleaning was finished, it was time for the fun decorating ideas. With a fresh tablecloth, a couple of hanging baskets and potted plants, some citronella candles and colorful throw pillows, our screened in porch is ready for entertaining.
